As of 1 October 2023, Niclas Öster has been appointed Head of Emerging Technologies and Cybersecurity at KWH Group.
The Strongest in Finland Platinum certificate to KWH Group
KWH Group is still one of Finland’s Strongest companies according to a credit classification by Suomen Asiakastieto. Therefore, we have been granted the Strongest in Finland Platinum certificate with the best AAA (excellent) rating.
Finland’s 79th largest employer
The KWH Group moved up one place in Talouselämä magazine’s list of the 100 largest employers. We were ranked 80th in 2021 and 79th in 2022.
The first Sustainability Report at Group level
The KWH Group has published its first Sustainability Report. It includes both the KWH Group, as well as the companies in each division. The report covers the year 2022.
KWH Group sells its share of Uponor Infra
KWH Group Ltd has today signed an agreement to sell its 44.7% shareholding in Uponor Infra Oy to Uponor Oyj.
Changes to the Group Board of Directors
The KWH Group’s Annual General Meeting at the end of April made changes to the Board of Directors.
Record year despite challenges in the business environment
Although 2022 brought many challenges, the KWH Group’s turnover and profit reached their highest levels in the company’s history. The year also included significant investments in the sustainability efforts of KWH Group’s business divisions.
A huge harbour crane to Blomberg Stevedoring in Vaasa
Oy Blomberg Stevedoring Ab, part of the KWH Logistics business division, has acquired a crane with a lifting capacity of 208 tonnes to the Port of Vaskiluoto in Vaasa. The crane s one of the largest harbour cranes in Finland and at the same time in the northern Baltic Sea. The value of the acquisition is approximately EUR 7 million.
Mirka invests 200M € with the Finnish industry in net carbon negative solutions
Mirka’s aim is to create a cross-industrial ecosystem to develop solutions for the remanufacturing and construction industries, contributing to a net carbon negative impact. Business Finland has granted 10 million euros in development funding for the Mirka SHAPE project as well as 20 million euros to the ecosystem companies surrounding the project. This project is first of its kind in Finland.
Christmas spirit for families with children
The KWH Group has traditionally donated to various charitable causes through Christmas cards. At Christmas 2022, we will support the work of Save the Children in Finland. The Christmas donations will help to prevent social exclusion and help underprivileged families with children in our country.
We are the 80th largest employer in Finland
The KWH Group has risen ten places in Talouselämä magazine’s 100 largest employers ranking. Now the group is number 80 in the statistics.

Jens Lax has been appointed host to Keppo Mansion in Jeppo from 1.8.2022.
