For the third year in a row, the KWH Group makes a Christmas donation to Save the Children Finland (Pelastakaa Lapset ry). The Christmas fundraising will be used to support children in Finland. Currently, around 120 000 children in Finland live in low-income families.
Rauanheimo started in Kokkola on 7 April 1884 as a one-man business under the name of Otto Rodén. The journey from humble beginnings to the 270 employees of today has been an eventful one. This year, the stevedoring and forwarding company has reached a significant milestone – 140 years in business.
KWH Group has been awarded the Kauppalehti’s Achievers 2011–2024 certificate. This certificate is awarded to less than one percent of Finnish limited companies. The certificate is a sign that we are a reliable business partner.
The KWH Group published its second Group-wide sustainability report at the end of May. The report describes the KWH Group’s objectives, tools and actions to promote sustainability. It also presents the key sustainability indicators for the KWH Group and its business groups.
Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has granted support to a project in which the waste heat from Oy KWH Freeze Ab’s cold storage could be used in Vantaa Energy’s district heating network to heat homes and commercial buildings.
