Record result for KWH Group despite challenging market conditions
2024 brought both challenges and successes to the KWH Group. Our sales rose to EUR 625.1 million, with an operating profit of EUR 76.9 million. Net profit for the financial year totalled EUR 63.1 million, the best in the Group’s history.
Changes in the management of KWH Freeze
Mika Halvorsen has been appointed as the CEO of Oy KWH Freeze Ab starting April 1, 2025. The current CEO Peter Lång will continue as the Head of Division and an advisor until autumn 2025. In addition, has Stefan Thilman been appointed as the new Development Manager of KWH Freeze effective April 1, 2025 and Vesa Kauhanen as the Supervisor of Warehouse and Transport.
KWH Group’s second sustainability report published
The KWH Group published its second Group-wide sustainability report at the end of May. The report describes the KWH Group’s objectives, tools and actions to promote sustainability. It also presents the key sustainability indicators for the KWH Group and its business groups.
KWH Group invests in sustainable development
The first half of 2023 was challenging, but thanks to a strong last quarter, KWH Group reached a good financial result in the end.
KWH Freeze’s waste heat to Vantaa’s district heating network
Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has granted support to a project in which the waste heat from Oy KWH Freeze Ab’s cold storage could be used in Vantaa Energy’s district heating network to heat homes and commercial buildings.
We support relief efforts in Ukraine
The KWH Group and our four divisions Mirka, KWH Logistics, KWH Freeze and Prevex donate a total of € 25,000 to support various relief efforts in war-torn Ukraine. Most go to the Finnish Red Cross (FRK). Support is also given to Nada Nord ra, which arranges bus transports from Poland to Pietarsaari, Finland for women and children fleeing Ukraine.
The KWH Group is renewing its Group structure
The KWH Group is restructuring the KWH Logistics division. Fr.o.m. 1.6.2021, KWH Freeze and KWH Logistics will become two separate and independent core divisions.
