Prevex turns 70 this year
The story of our subsidiary Prevex began in 1955 in Nykarleby. The business started with extrusion of plastic pipes. This year the company celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Over the years, there have been many changes. The first water traps were manufactured in 1970. The company has also produced products such as ice-cream packs, hooks for fishing nets and door handles.
In 1984, the KWH group bought part of Prevex and the rest in 2003. Consequently, Prevex decided to focus 100% on water traps in 2005.
Prevex’s anniversary is also reflected on the company’s LinkedIn page, where you can read about the company’s progress over the years. The company has also organised an open day and celebrated its anniversary with its staff.
