The KWH Group donated to the University of Vaasa

We have donated EUR 10 000 to the university of Vaasa’s funding campaign. The donation is allocated to the field technology.

The University of Vaasa focuses on responsible business. Their core competence consists of expertise in business, technology, management, and communications. The University has four schools for research and teaching: the School of Management, the School of Accounting and Finance, the School of Marketing and Communication, and the School of Technology and Innovations.

– We want to support universities that are located on our region, because high-quality education and research are also in our interests. The research and education areas of the University of Vaasa especially in the field of technology, support our divisions well, says the Group President Kjell Antus about the background of the donation.

The KWH Group has already last year supported Svenska Handelshögskolan university and Abo Akademi university’s corresponding funding campaigns.

The Government of Finland will provide Finnish universities with capitalization of EUR 67 million via the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra. The money will be allocated this autumn based on fundraising that entitles the universities to receive matched funding from the Government. The matched funding per university can be EUR 11 million at highest.
